Preliminary Roost Assessments

What is a Preliminary Roost Assessment?

A Preliminary Roost Assessment (PRA), is a scoping survey for identifying the potential for roosting bats in a structure. This needs to be completed before any other surveys for planning and is considered the starting point to getting the ball rolling on your project. The PRA can be completed at anytime of the year and involves an internal and external visual assessment of the structure. The PRA is conducted to determine whether the project will have any impact on bats and planning cannot be granted without a survey and accompanying report.

We have a fast turnaround on these surveys and a short lead time on reports. From the results collected from the PRA we assess whether further Emergence/Re-entry surveys will be need to be undertaken between May and September. Our prices are competitive and tailored to each project.
